Roseanna Welcomes news that Comrie's Bumblebee Square is to be saved for the community

The Scottish National Party's Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP, Member of the Scottish Parliament for Perthshire South & Kinross-shire, has welcomed the news that Comrie's Bumblebee Square community garden has been saved thanks to the generosity of an anonymous benefactor.

Ms Cunningham said:

"What the local community have achieved with Bumblebee Square – or St Kessog's Square as we will have to get used to calling it - has been brilliant so it was really disappointing to think that it was going to disappear and become a supermarket.

"I was absolutely delighted, therefore, to learn that a local hero has stepped forward and saved the day right at the eleventh hour. I am sure that the whole of Comrie is very grateful to whoever this public-spirited mystery donor may be.

"It really is brilliant news that it can now continue to be a public space and an amenity for the whole community."
