Forth Wines a Real Success Story

The Scottish National Party's Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP, Member of the Scottish Parliament for Perthshire South & Kinross-shire, recently visited Forth Wines, an owner-managed, Milnathort-based company who act as an agent, distributor and wholesaler of wines, spirits and beers throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK.

Accompanied by local councillor, Cllr Joe Giacopazzi, Ms Cunningham met with company representatives to discuss their plans for the business's future development.

Speaking after the visit, Ms Cunningham said:

"Forth Wines are a real local success story and an important local employer. While their business success means that they have outgrown their current premises they are keen to stay within the Milnathort area and they should be commended and supported.

"I have been impressed by their plans for the future which show ambition and confidence that they can be an increasingly successful contributor to the local economy in the coming years."

Mr George Thomson, Managing Director of Forth Wines, said:

"We would like to thank Roseanna Cunningham and Cllr Joe Giacopazzi for visiting Forth Wines to get an update on our business and learn more about our plans for the future.

"We are a local company who want to expand and grow our business to ensure we can stay ahead in an increasingly competitive market. Forth Wines is committed to Kinross-shire and we hope to have a new home to the south of Kinross. We have been very grateful for the feedback from local residents, community groups and representatives, which is extremely useful for us as we move forward with our application.

"It has been great to have our constituency MSP and ward member visit and the support they have shown to us."
