Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP has signed up to the Paths for All pledge to walk once a day this winter.

Ms Cunningham said:

“If there is one thing that 2020 has taught me, it’s how much better I feel if I get out into the fresh air for at least 30 minutes every day – come rain or shine.

“So, I didn’t need to think twice about signing up for Paths for All’s pledge to #WalkOnceADay.  The idea is very simple – you make a promise to yourself to get out for a walk at least once at day throughout December and January.

“I would encourage anyone who is able to do the same.  Even a short walk once a day is of enormous benefit to both physical and mental health, there are often new things to be discovered in your local area and, particularly here in Perthshire some lovely views to be enjoyed.

“Paths for All have handy hints on their website to help people walk the walk through the winter and, as an added incentive, every week through December and January they will be giving away a Paths for All goody bag and walking-related prizes sourced from Scottish businesses.”
