Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP is highlighting a consultation being carried out by Police Scotland and the Scottish Police Authority on their Joint Strategy – 'Policing for a safe, protected and resilient Scotland', which aims to set the future direction for policing in Scotland.

Ms Cunningham said:

“Police Scotland and the Scottish Police Authority are carrying out a consultation exercise to inform their thinking as they develop their future strategy for policing in Scotland.

“Policing is an issue on which I get a good deal of correspondence from constituents and I know that people have strong opinions about the role of the police and the manner in which police services are delivered in our communities.

“I would strongly encourage constituents to engage with this consultation process and ensure that as wide a range of voices as possible is heard while they seek to shape the design and delivery of policing now and in the future.
”The public engagement period of the consultation has already begun.  It will run until the 2nd of March this year and can be accessed online.
