Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP has highlighted a new support service being brought to Tayside this autumn by the MS Society for local people recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

 Ms Cunningham said:

“The MS Society contacted me with information regarding a new support service they are bringing to Tayside to support local people diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

“These "Living Well with MS" sessions are planned for people diagnosed with MS within the last five years and who are living in Tayside. The sessions are designed to help people connect and share experiences. They are a safe space where those who have recently had a diagnosis of MS can chat to others who are in a similar position.
“The first session will be starting in mid-September and the second the following month. There is more information about them and other support services the MS Society provided online on their website.

“Facing the future with a diagnosis of a condition like MS can be a daunting prospect and the opportunity to connect with others in a similar situation can be very useful, practically and emotionally.

“I am grateful to the MS Society for bringing these sessions to my attention and I am more than happy to assist them in spreading the word about this helpful resource.”
