Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP has condemned the reported actions of two individuals who are alleged to have abused and threatened a member of staff working in the constituency office of Luke Graham MP.

Ms Cunningham said:

“I was angered and appalled to learn of the abuse endured by Luke Graham’s staff member and sorely disappointed to learn that it was at his office in Crieff that it had occurred.

“Constituency-based staff are a hugely important part of the service that elected members offer to our constituents, they provide a consistent point of access to the public and they are a huge support to us in our work.

“All constituency office staff receive some sort of abuse from time to time but it is never okay.  They have the right to carry out their work in safety, like everyone else.

“I sincerely hope that the police will be able to identify and charge these individuals.  Nobody should be expected to put up with that level of abuse - in their workplace or anywhere else.”
