Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP is highlighting the final round of the CashBack for Creativity Open Fund, administered by YouthLink Scotland and funded by the Scottish Government through the CashBack for Communities programme, which redistributes the proceeds of crime to benefit young people.  Applications for this funding source opened on Monday, 26th November, and the deadline is 1pm on Friday 25 January 2019.

Ms Cunningham said:

“The CashBack for Creativity Open Fund aims to support high quality creative and cultural activities for young people across Scotland and seeks to target young people who have traditionally found it hardest to access creative opportunities.

“Up to £300,000 will be invested in community-based arts projects in this round, with individual proposals being able to access awards of up to £10,000, to deliver up to 12 months of creative activity for young people aged 10-24.

“I have no doubt that there are plenty of groups and organisations working with young people in my constituency who can think of good ways in which they could spend a grant of up to £10,000!

“I understand that the Open Fund seeks to reach all Local Authorities in Scotland and that in this, the final round of the fund, they are particularly interested in receiving applications from areas that do not have any Cashback activity at present - which includes Perth and Kinross.

“I would be happy to help any interested groups to get in touch with the Creative Learning and Young People Team at Creative Scotland, who would be delighted to hear from them.”
