Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP has expressed her delight that the Arngask Hall community group in her constituency has recently been successful in their application to the Scottish Land Fund, securing a grant of £229,140.

Roseanna said:

“I was absolutely delighted to learn that the Arngask Hall application to the Scottish Land Fund has been successful in gaining a grant of £229,140.

“This is a really significant sum which will be used by the group to pursue their planned acquisition of the former schoolhouse adjacent to the existing Village Hall in Glenfarg.

“The plan is to create meeting rooms and a café, a proposal which will be fantastic for the community and which will certainly help to meet the stated aims of reducing social isolation and provide much-needed accommodation for a variety of community services and events.

“I have met with members of the Board of Arngask Hall and know that there is a great deal of support for this development in the Glenfarg community and that this news will be warmly welcomed throughout the local area.  My congratulations to everyone who has been involved in helping to secure these funds and I look forward to seeing these ambitious plans come to fruition.”
