Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP has expressed her dismay at the announcement by Stuart Crystal that the shop and café in Crieff is to close.

Ms Cunningham said:

“I am very disappointed indeed to learn of Stuart Crystal’s closure plans.  My primary concern is for those who will be directly impacted by closure with the loss of their jobs and I sincerely hope that some way can be found for this decision to be reversed.

”If, indeed, Stuart Crystal does close, it will be sadly missed by visitors and locals alike.  The shop and cafe have been an important part of what Crieff has on offer to tourists for a considerable time.

“I understand the closure plans centre around the cost of repairs requiring to be made to the building and I will be contacting Stuart Crystal for more detail on what needs done and what other options might possibly be pursued.”
