Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP has congratulated a group of young volleyballers in Kinross who have been successful in reaching the final stages of a grant scheme which could net them £200,000 and is urging constituents to give them the support they need to secure the prize.

Ms Cunningham said:

“I want to begin by congratulating everyone involved with Kinross Volleyball Club in getting to this stage of the Persimmon Homes Healthy Communites scheme and ensuring, by doing so, that they will secure at least £5000 in funding for their club.

“With over 5,000 nominations from across the UK, they have done really well to reach the final stage of just 30 sports groups.

“Now they face a public vote with the opportunity to win an amazing £200,000 to create their own local community sporting legacy.  How fantastic would it be if that money were to come to Kinross?

“So I would like to urge everyone to get online, vote and to spread the word so that we can get the Kinross Volleyball players as many votes as possible.

"Bookmark the link and come back as often as possible to ensure click after click gives them the best possible chance of winning this great prize.

“The vote is open until the 16th of March and everyone can vote once a day.”
