Following Scottish Water’s agreement to postpone the road closure on the A823 near Glendevon Water Treatment Works, Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP is encouraging concerned constituents to attend a public consultation meeting that has now been arranged.

Ms Cunningham said:

“The plans originally put forward by Scottish Water would have severely inconvenienced a significant number of my constituents and were put in place with far too much haste and far too little consultation.

“Having put my constituents' concerns to Scottish Water, I welcomed their apology as well as their decision to put the road closure on hold and to consult with the local community.

“I am pleased, therefore, to be able to help get the word out about a meeting that has been arranged for Monday 12th March at 7pm in Glendevon Church Hall with Malcolm Best from Auchterarder Community Council in the chair.

“I would urge anyone who would be affected by these works to attend that meeting and that a frank and open discussion can be had about how best to minimise disruption.  Anyone who cannot attend can certainly contact me and I will take their opinions to Scottish Water.”
