Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP has received a letter from Graham Turnock, Network Operations Manager at the Post Office, providing an update on the Crieff High Street branch of the Post Office which has been temporarily closed since Friday 05 May 2017.

Ms Cunningham said:

“While I am concerned at the length of time the High Street Post Office branch has been closed, I understand the reasons behind the initial closure and I am pleased to receive Mr Turnock’s letter which contains a couple of pieces of positive information.

“Firstly, it is good news that the Post Office remains committed to restoring the service.  Secondly, I am particularly heartened to learn that there has been some interest locally in taking on the opportunity of running a Post Office.

“In his letter, Mr Turnock apologies for the time it is taking to restore a service locally and for the inconvenience the ongoing temporary closure is causing to our customers. I am happy to relay that apology to my constituents and I share his hope that post office services can be restored to the High Street.

“I would also urge anyone who believes that they might be in a position to help deliver those services to contact Mr Turnock as soon as possible.”
