Roseanna Cunningham MSP gave her support to Small Business Saturday this weekend, highlighting the range of small local stores available in Crieff.

Roseanna said:

“A great antidote to the highly commercialised US import Black Friday, Small Business Saturday is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to "shop local".

“It also gave me a great excuse – as if I need one – to take a tour round some of Crieff’s great wee shops.

“I kicked off with a coffee in Cafe Rhubarb followed by a visit to Jazz, brilliant for great gifts all year round.  Then on to a shop brand new to Crieff -– Strathearn Interiors has an interesting line in armchairs & cushions and stocks many well known designers, so it's a welcome addition.

“After spending some time chatting to Thelma in her Aladdin’s Cave – aka Wee Beasties – I popped next door to Delvino for more coffee, but it could have been lunch, or even a glass of fizz!

“Next up was Gill’s where you can find everything from birdseed to the finest whisky & loads of great Scottish foodstuffs!

“And that is all just scratching the surface of what is available in our town, there is much more than that available – Crieff really is a great place to shop local.”
