Roseanna welcomes guests from Perth High School to the Scottish Parliament

The Scottish National Party’s Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP, Member of the Scottish Parliament for Perthshire South & Kinross-shire, welcomed a visit to Parliament by Perth High School and their guests from Bongani High School of South Africa.

The school has an exchange programme with Bongani and has raised funds for 5 students and 2 teachers to visit Perth HS.  As part of their visit they came to Edinburgh to see the city and Parliament.

Roseanna met with the group and they received a tour and tickets for the public gallery.

Speaking after the visit, Roseanna said:

“I always enjoy welcoming school trips from the constituency to Parliament, the young people are always very interested in seeing around the Parliament and getting the opportunity to question politicians.

“This visit was particularly special since the pupils from Perth High School had brought with them visitors from Bongani High School in South Africa.

“The annual exchange programme between those two schools is a credit to the school and particularly to the staff and pupils who work so hard raising money to enable the exchange visits to take place.

“I hope that everyone enjoyed their trip to Edinburgh and I wish the folk from Bongani all the best for the rest of their stay in Perth.”
