Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP, Member of the Scottish Parliament for Perthshire South & Kinross-shire, has received confirmation of a further extension by NHS Tayside to the consultation on “Transforming Surgical Services in Tayside”. It will now stay open until 16 October.

Speaking today Ms Cunningham said:

“I have received information from NHS Tayside regarding plans to extend further the consultation on their “Transforming Surgical Services in Tayside” proposals.

“As well as the additional meeting in Kinross, there will also now be a further meeting in Crieff and the deadline for submissions has been extended to Monday, 16 October.

“The Kinross meeting will be held this coming Monday, 9 October, in Loch Leven Community Centre between 5pm and 7pm; the Crieff meeting on Thursday, 12 October in the Strathearn Community Campus, again between 5pm and 7pm.

“I called for and welcome these additional meetings but they really should have been in the programme from the outset.  The proposals represent significant and important changes to the services provided to the people of my constituency and NHS Tayside need to show that they are taking the views of the public seriously.”
