Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP has welcomed the news that 6 groups in her constituency have recently been successful in securing a total of £46,819 National Lottery funding after applying to Awards for All Scotland.


Ms Cunningham said:

“I am delighted that such a large number of organisations in Perthshire South & Kinross-shire have been successful in this most recent round of Awards for All Scotland grants from Big Lottery Fund.  

“The organisations involved and the projects supported show the range and diversity of the community effort which makes the communities of the constituency I represent such vibrant places to live and I offer my thanks and congratulations to everyone who has been involved in successfully securing this important financial support.”

NOTES TO EDITORS:  The Awards for All Scotland grants from Big Lottery Fund are as follows:

Portmoak Community Gala: £5,110 to purchase two marquees for use during their annual community event. 

Kids' Week in Crieff: £9,480 to host the second annual Kids’ Week in Crieff consisting of a Gala Day and various daily activities including dance workshops, music workshops, fitness workshops, creative sessions and games.

Dunbarney Primary School: £6,899 to enhance their playground.

Remake Scotland: £9,950 to establish an employment training programme for local young people. This group use material diverted from landfill to offer a range of low cost arts and craft materials to the general public.

Methven Community Centre: £10,000 to carry out improvements to their community building. 

Abernethy Primary School: £5,380 to carry out improvements to the school playground. 

Awards For All Scotland gives groups a chance to apply for a National Lottery grant of between £500 and £10,000 for projects that aim to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need. Big Lottery Fund Scotland, Creative Scotland and sportscotland all contribute National Lottery funding towards Awards for All Scotland. They will fund a range of projects which involve bringing local people together, helping people learn, improving local spaces and getting people more active.
