Roseanna Cunningham MSP has congratulated the jockey, trainer and owners of this year's Grand National Winner "One For Arthur".

The first Scottish-trained winner of the race since 1979, One for Arthur is trained at Lucinda Russell's Arlarly House Stables in Milnathort in Ms Cunningham's constituency.

Ms Cunningham said:

"Many congratulations to One For Arthur's jockey, trainer, owners and everyone involved with Arlarly House Stables for this fantastic victory.

"To be the first Scottish victor of this iconic race in nearly 40 years is a wonderful achievement.

"I am pleased not only that One For Arthur crossed the line first but that all horses and riders were unharmed.

"No doubt many of my constituents will have had a few pounds on the local hope - some of them having their annual flutter - and I wish them all the best enjoying their winnings."
