Roseanna Cunningham MSP has welcomed news that Blackford Community Council has received funding from the Scottish Government's Climate Challenge Fund and Tactrans to undertake a community consultation and technical feasibility study, to identify safe cycle routes between Blackford and Auchterarder, and to look at how work can be done to improve paths and signing.

 Ms Cunningham said:

I was really pleased to learn that this funding had been secured.  The survey that this money will fund will be really helpful in ensuring that the plans to develop a safe cycle route between Blackford and Auchterarder match up with the needs of those that will use it.

“Of course, it is essential that the right information is gathered in so it is important that as many people as possible within the community – cyclist or not – get involved by providing their input.”
