Roseanna Cunningham, SNP candidate for Perthshire South & Kinross-shire, has congratulated local folk who took part in the Strathearn Churches Pilgrimage over the weekend.  Over four days,  the participants set off from St Columba’s church in Crieff for St Fillan’s church in Killin, calling at St Serf’s church in Comrie and St Angus’s church at Lochearnhead along the way.

Ms Cunningham said:

“Many congratulations to everyone who took part in this event, I hope that their feet are not too sore.

“Had I not been somewhat involved with the little matter of an election campaign, I would have loved to have taken part myself.

“The route they were walking forms part of the Three Saints Way, a long distance walking route I am involved in developing.  The walkers stopped at churches named for two of those three Saints so, in that respect, this weekend’s walkers were not only pilgrims, they were pioneers too.”
