The Scottish National Party’s Ms Roseanna Cunningham, candidate for the Perthshire South & Kinross-shire constituency, has received notification of a further backtracking by Scottish Citylink on controversial changes to intercity bus services serving her constituency.

Speaking after receiving a letter from David Frenz, Operations Director of Scottish Citylink Coaches, Roseanna said:
“I ahave been in correspondence with Scottish Citylink about their timetable changes for six months now and I am pleased to be able to report a further backtracking on their part.
“Scottish Citylink has now decided to reinstate stops at the Kinross and Halbeath Park & Ride sites on the G92 service, which leaves Edinburgh at 0615 and goes on to Dundee.
“It may be a small change but it is good news indeed for those constituents who contacted me concerned about the impact this would have on their ability to travel to work by public transport.
“I understand that these changes will take place from 23rd May, assuming the changes are approved by the Traffic Commissioner, as I trust they will be.
“Changes to bus timetables can play havoc with people’s working day and transport companies really should consult wider and more publicly before introducing changes.“
