Speaking after the first weekend of activity after the official start of the campaign for the Scottish Parliament elections, the Scottish National Party’s candidate for Perthshire South & Kinross-shire, Ms Roseanna Cunningham, welcomed the start of the campaign.

 She said:

“Despite the rain it was fantastic to be out campaigning around the constituency this weekend. We had SNP campaign teams out across Perthshire South & Kinross-shire just as there were around the country.

“All the opinion polls are very encouraging but the SNP is taking absolutely nothing for granted in this election and along with other members and supporters, I will be campaigning hard over the next few weeks to promote the achievements of the SNP in Government and our ambitions for the future of Scotland.

“It has been a privilege to be a directly elected parliamentarian in this area for over twenty years and I hope to persuade the people of Perthshire South & Kinross-shire to renew their trust in me once again.”
