Positive A&E stats welcomed

Roseanna has welcomed the publication of the latest A&E treatment time figures for Perth Royal Infirmary – showing positive figures as the hospital exceeds the Scottish Government target.

The figures published today show that for the week ending 8th March, 96.9 per cent of patients in A&E were treated within four hours at Perth Royal Infirmary- more than meeting the Scottish Government’s interim target of 95 per cent.

Commenting, she said:

“These very positive figures for Perth Royal Infirmary showing a very strong performance are a tribute to the hard-working hospital staff who do such important work.

“The SNP’s commitment to our health service is second to none – investing an additional £383m in frontline health spending in 2015/16, meaning Scottish health spending will now be above £12bn for the first time ever – and these figures show that this investment is continuing to deliver real results for local people.

“But there is always more which can be done – and people in Perthshire can rest assured that there will be absolutely no complacency from the SNP and we will continue to do everything we can to further protect and improve our NHS, support staff and ensure local people continue to have access to the top quality healthcare they deserve.”
