Aberuthven a 'vibrant and united community' - Roseanna

As part of her summer surgery tour, the Scottish National Party's Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP, Member of the Scottish Parliament for Perthshire South & Kinross-shire, visited Aberuthven where she met with local community activist Dr Charles Fitches who showed her the work the local community have been doing together including the village hall, war memorial garden and play area.

Speaking after her visit, Roseanna said: "It was great to get the opportunity to see at first hand the work that is being done by local community groups such as Aberuthven Ablaze and the Village Hall Committee.

"It is clear to me that Aberuthven is a vibrant and united community determined to work together to achieve improvements to the environment and amenity of their village.

"My congratulations to Dr Fitches and his fellow volunteers on the power of work that they have achieved so far and best wishes for all their future projects."

Cllr Tom Gray, who represents the Strathallan Ward on Perth & Kinross Council, added: "Local volunteers giving of their time and energies are the heartbeat of a thriving village.  Aberuthven is great example of a strong and lively community pulling together to get things done."
