Roseanna impressed with customer focus of Crieff TSB branch

The Scottish National Party's Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP, Member of the Scottish Parliament for Perthshire South& Kinross-shire had a useful visit recently to the newly rebranded TSB bank in Crieff where she met with the manager, Doreen Reid and discussed the services on offer and the impact that they have seen from the departure of the Royal Bank of Scotland from the town.

Speaking following her visit, Ms Cunningham said:

"The TSB in Crieff is a friendly local bank who are genuinely interested in supporting and helping folk. Local managers have more influence over decision making and there is a real focus on protecting ordinary folk from financial risks.

"I was extremely pleased to hear about the basic bank account that they offer for people who have never had one before and who are now going to need an account to receive their benefits.

"These customers will also get assistance with setting up standing orders and advice on money management.

"The TSB remains part of the Lloyd's banking group until they are floated on the stock exchange but the new bank has a real commitment to making a return to local banking.

"Unsurprisingly, the departure of the Royal Bank of Scotland from the town has impacted on the TSB and they have recently been seeing a lot more business from non-customers than previously.

"The customer-focus that is evident in the TSB is pleasing and promising and I look forward to them continuing to serve the people of Crieff for a long time to come."
