IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED ON COVID PRECAUTIONS AT CRIEFF RECYCLING CENTRE - ROSEANNA

Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP has written to the Chief Executive of Perth & Kinross Council following a Health and Safety Exective (HSE) report which exposes a series of failings at the North Forr recycling centre in Crieff.

Ms Cunningham said:

“I was extremely concerned to read reports of HSE’s investigations at the Crieff recycling centre, which have resulted in a long and worrying list of very serious failings.

“The council has been told to review procedures and training, and confirm an action plan to the HSE by February 26 but I know that my constituents – particularly those working at the centre – will be anxious to know that immediate action has been taken to address the concerns raised.

“I have written to the Chief Executive of Perth & Kinross Council expressing my concerns and my hope that there will be absolutely no delay in ensuring that the problems that have been identified are rectified.”
