Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP has expressed her sadness at news of the death of Bishop Vincent Logan, Emeritus Bishop of Dunkeld.
Speaking this afternoon, Ms Cunningham said:
“I was very sorry indeed to hear news of Bishop Logan’s death. My prayers are with his family and all who loved him.
“As Bishop of Dunkeld for 30 years, Vincent Logan served the people of this area with kindness and compassion and he will be remembered fondly by all who met him. As a local parliamentarian during a fair portion of his tenure, I certainly appreciated his wise counsel and quiet support.
“This is a very sad day indeed for the Catholic community throughout Scotland, particularly coming just a day after the death of the Archbishop of Glasgow, Philip Tartaglia. May they both Rest in Peace.”
