SUCCESS IN BRITAIN IN BLOOM AWARDS AS PERTH NAMED CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS

Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP has welcomed news of success for both Perth and Bridge of Earn as the results in the Britain in Bloom UK Finals were announced.

Ms Cunningham said:

“I am delighted to hear that the long tradition of success for Perthshire in the Britain in Bloom awards has continued this year with Perth being named Champion of Champions as well as winning the Parks and Green Spaces award, and Bridge of Earn picking up both the Large Village title and a special award for Involving Children and Young People.

“This is Perth’s 30th year of involvement in the Britain in Bloom Awards so it is wonderful that this milestone has been marked by scooping the top prize.

“I know that everybody involved in these awards in communities throughout my constituency put in a huge amount of work into ensuring that the Fair City and all our towns and villages look great, not just for the judges but throughout the year.

“Thank you to everyone who gives of their time and effort and, of course, huge congratulations to the groups from Perth and Bridge of Earn.”
