Roseanna Welcomes Job Boost for Almondbank

“SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT INVESTMENT SECURING HIGH-SKILL JOBS”

The Scottish National Party’s Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP, Member of the Scottish Parliament for Perthshire South & Kinross-shire, has welcomed news of Scottish Enterprise grants of £250,000 which have resulted in up to 70 new jobs at Vector Aerospace at Amondbank in her constituency.

Speaking today (Tuesday) Ms Cunningham said:

“It has been a very hard time for Almondbank over the past while so I am delighted to be able to welcome good news coming out of Vector.

“This investment from the Scottish Government, through Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Development International, means 30 new jobs straight away with the prospect of a further forty down the line.

“We are seeing Scottish Government investment securing important, high-skill jobs for the local economy.

“I am particularly pleased to learn that through this investment some of those who lost jobs at Almondbank earlier in the year will be re-employed.  To hear Vector executives describing this announcement as ‘only the beginning’ is very encouraging indeed.”
