Ms Roseanna Cunningham MSP has shown her support for Greenock and Inverclyde MSP Stuart McMillan’s Pipeathon 2017 auction, which was launched this week.
Mr McMillan – Holyrood’s ‘Parliamentary Piper’ – piped at all 42 senior Scottish football clubs this summer. Many of the clubs, including Perth’s St Johnstone FC, donated signed strips and other items for auction. The money raised will be divided between Andy Adams Fund, Clyde 1’s Cash for Kids and Clydeside Action on Asbestos.
Ms Cunningham said:
“Stuart’s Pipeathon 2017 was a clear success and I commend him for his hard work this summer. The follow-up to Stuart marching round every senior football ground in the country is a further fundraising opportunity and a chance for fans to pick up something special from their favourite football team.
“The online auction hosted by McTears is now live and open for bids.
“I am pleased to see a St Johnstone strip amongst the lots on offer and I hope that it will raise at least the guide price that has been set.”
